A steamy pro football, single mom, forbidden doctor/patient romance from Amazon Top Ten bestselling author Lisa Suzanne.

I went to Vegas to celebrate my divorce, and the pro football star was there celebrating his new contract. I heard someone call his name, and I wasn't about to miss my chance to get with the man my ex had idolized. I didn't find out until long after a sizzling night filled with fingertips dragging along skin and breathless whispered pleas that it was a case of mistaken identity.

I never thought I'd see him again, but then he walks into my office. I'm working hard to rebuild myself as a financially independent single mother when my eyes lift to the VIP client my boss warned me about.

Anger courses through my veins, yet I can't seem to tear my gaze from those smoky blue eyes.

But the sly look in his eyes from that night is replaced by brokenness after an injury that just took him out for the season, and now it's my job to help rehabilitate him and get him ready for next season.

Quitting the quarterback seems nearly impossible, but if I don't do it, I might just lose everything I've worked for.

A one night stand that feels like more but a case of mistaken identity gives Cassie the excuse she needs to ignore the possibilities. After he sustains an injury and they reconnect as patient and PT, their connection grows, leading to a relationship that cannot end well... it's ethically wrong even if the feelings are real.

Although the 3rd act breakup was predictable, the love story has all the right elements that you want to know how they get there and then to their HEA. I did not like how the 3rd act breakup happened and the story would have been stronger if it had been handled differently (or not at all), but no spoilers (just know that you might find it frustrating).

The story continues to build the Nash Brothers word which is connected to many of the football stories written by Lisa, and the world building is one of the best parts of this interconnected series.

it's hard to quit the QB

I have really enjoyed all the books in this series. The fact that I am a football fan and the mother of a football coach makes them even more enjoyable.

Enjoyed it
