You stand at the threshold of a city’s darkest secret. Qurtuba - Final Cut is a Solo Dungeon Crawler that casts you as Aixa, a lone adventurer descending into the haunted catacombs beneath 10th-century Córdoba—the jewel of Al-Andalus. Below the splendor of the Caliphate lies a maze of shadow and ancient enemies, governed by systems designed to test your tactical skill and resilience.

Test your mettle against a world where death is always a threat and resources are agonizingly scarce.

The Core Experience

Qurtuba - Final Cut offers two distinct paths into the abyss, allowing you to tailor the challenge to your preferred style of play.

  1. Solo Journaling Mode: A pure, unforgiving survival run. In this highly atmospheric mode, every choice, encounter, and defeat is recorded, allowing you to weave a detailed, unique narrative of your descent. When Aixa falls, the story of that run is complete.
  2. Roguelite Mode (Gameplay Focus): For players who prefer immediate action and progression, this mode features a persistent meta-game. While all your found items and immediate gains are lost upon defeat, you retain Accumulated XP (A-XP). This A-XP is your currency for permanent character upgrades, ensuring that every failed attempt makes your next run stronger. Crucially, the Roguelite mode is focused on gameplay and systems, and does not require active journaling.

Systems of Survival

Survival hinges on mastering critical elements.

  • Shadow Damage (SD): The true enemy of Qurtuba. As Aixa encounters shadows and fear, her SD increases. Reaching the 10 SD threshold inflicts a debilitating Permanent Negative Status Effect (such as Fatigued or Traumatized), which stacks across your current run. Reaching 15 SD means instant death.
  • Tactical Inventory: Aixa is equipped with 7 Dedicated Slots (Weapon, Armor, Shield, and four Objects). This is a rigid limitation, as only items placed in these four Object Slots can be used during Combat or Action Rolls. Effective resource management is key—what you carry into battle must be ready in your hand.
  • Scalable Challenge: Adapt the catacombs to your experience level. A variery of integrated Difficulty Modes—from the narrative-friendly Very Easy to the brutal, resource-minimalist Hard or Nightmare—adjust starting inventory, recovery rates, and SD mitigation, guaranteeing a perfectly tuned risk profile for every expedition.

Grab your dice, choose your mode, and venture into the depths. Whether you're looking for narrative depth or mechanical mastery, Qurtuba - Final Cut is a solo dungeon crawler with infinite replayability.

Every defeat is just a lesson, and every fresh descent is a new story waiting to be written. The catacombs call—how many times will you answer?
