although this book is the prequel, listen to it after book 1. It's related, but you need some of the background from Book 1 to understand the world and get some of the background. I listened to this first, the Book 1, and honestly, I was a bit list in this book. It all came together when I listened to Book 1.

I listened to book 1 before getting this Prequel, but does not hurt or spoil either of the books. This one just elaborate more of the background story and how things in book 1 actually came about. Narrator does a good job with the various characters and the entire storyline.

I got this the free code for a honest review. this should be labeled as a graphic audio. this has all kinds of sound effects. it sounds really neat and brings the story to life. there are a few parts where I'm glad I wasn't wearing my headphones because it would have killed my hearing. The narrator did an absolute amazing job bring the story to life. If you really like Star Trek I believe this story is for you.
