It's not hard to get deeply entrenched in this storyline, and I did. Some of the situations made me physically ill, people can be so vile and ruthless!!!! Dark and suspenseful. Satisfying conclusion. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

I did not read the prior books in this trilogy but that didn’t take away from being sucked in and held in its grip! Well written story told from several POVs…I felt like I was watching a movie! Great story with lots of action that keeps up your heart rate. Narration was spectacular! The author chose the perfect narrator to bring this book to life. Now I feel compelled to get book 1!!! This is a definite re-listen for me.

I loved this trilogy and really look forward to listening to more from this author. A very satisfying ending to a well told story. I loved just how much I was cheering on the family. Every little detail was crafted with care. Do yourself a favor and give this series a try.
