Den Røde planet var en av de første sci-fi bøkene jeg leste. Det er over 40 år siden, og jeg husket hele boken. Den gjorde uutslettelig inntrykk.

Hyggelig gjensyn med boken som åpnet sci-fi universet for meg

I have long been a fan of the 2000 movie by the same title, but that has nothing to do with this Heinlein piece. I'm glad it got me to look into it though, very cool story. An excellent world with compelling conflicts between all the characters. They discover and resolve multiple layers of problems all throughout. Fun read.

So much story in such a short span

is this book still relevant, yes. I first read this book in high school. And I still enjoy it very much. I believe it contains some valuable lessons for interplanetary colonies. At some point they will have to be granted independence. The people who are so keen on making Mars a colony should have to be required to read this book. Especially the ending chapters. There's a certain billionaire rocket man who will have to learn this lesson. And probably the hard way...

This book was a nice break from my usual horror novels. It was light listening but with enough intrigue to keep me interested. I really enjoyed it beginning to end and recommend it for anyone whos looking for something wanting a bit of time travel listening for all ages.

Very enjoyable

I remember reading Read Planet sixty years ago and again thirty years ago. I will be one hundred years old the next time I read it and I am looking forward to that day! This is a classic!

A great read —-timeless.
