Got this book as a suggestion from the “Book of The Month” and God what a treat !!!

The characters are very well written and the story can feel predictable at times and that makes the plot twist so rewarding, when you think you have everything figured out a plot twist that punches back at you.

Toxic family dynamics with local cops dynamics and such well written characters that you are rooting for the asshole cop. You are going to be laughing and crying and gasping for air all over the book.

Also, BIG SHOUTOUT TO THE NARRATOR !!!

11/10 Stars. This man, made the story engaging making even easier to get emotionally attached to the story and its characters, making the twist more rewarding.

This got off to a great start, but fizzled in the last 3rd or so. Story lacked depth and we really didn't get to know many characters very well, just the one brother. The others are enigma and motives remain unclear. The narrator was fantastic.
