I really enjoyed this action packed dystopian sci-fi novella. DB Rook did an amazing job giving us a story in which the characters grow with every conflict that they face learning more about themselves and each other with every danger filled twist and turn. Crickett the narrator does a splendid job projecting emotion off the pages as she reads the story helping set the mood. Overall I am a huge fan of the band of outcasts in the MMTV and I will be waiting for their next big adventure.

This story hits close to our world climate today and Cricket does an amazing job of conveying the sarcasm and disbelief from the characters. I need to read or hear the rest of this series!!

I really liked this book alot. It reminded me of a mix between War of the World's and Netflix's movie Extinction. I absolutely loved it. The narrating was AMAZING! The narrator really captured all the different characters wonderfully, and the intro was hilarious 😂
