There is a slow burn between two of the characters. the plots and characters are developed just enough to keep the story interesting. It's really hard to be creative in this genre. With that in mind, the writer brought plenty of her own nuances to life in creating a very different post apocalyptic/ almost utopian spin to a saturated genre. My interest has been peaked with this one! I bought the next audiobook.
