Whoever wrote the book description has obviously never read this book. The animal characters (dogs, cats, tortoise, horses) were more interesting than the human ones, except for 13-year-old Sophie.

Usually, Southern cozy books have quirky and unique supporting characters which add to the cultural setting - not so much in this series but author does demonstrate a great sense of humor.
