A great book makes you want to play hooky from work, from everything except hearing the next words coming from the writer. Safe is that book. At times I laughed out loud, started to tear up, and was truly sad when it ended what seemed way too soon. The writing, the way characters were fleshed out until they almost stood in front of your eyes, was magnificent. I can't wait to read his next book and may have to listen to this one more time- it was that good!
