This was an absolutely fantastic story. Not only were the MMC & FMC both wonderful, the supporting characters where equally perfect for the story. The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable. The story itself was extremely enjoyable. My heart was so invested in this story that it was ridiculous. When they finally got to their HEA I was so excited. I cannot wait to read more in this series! Also I read this as an audiobook which made it even better. The narrators did a wonderful job and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. Highly recommend the book and if you enjoy audiobooks this is definitely one to get.

I enjoyed this story. The narration was okay. This is the second story in the "Mancini Legacy" series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone story. There are connected characters. The story is about Sebastiano and Schuyler, a firefighter. They meet at a charity event and the connection is instant. He knows she is the "ONE" for him. Unfortunately, she is with another man. Her boyfriend and father are tied to Mancini business. Sebastiano, notices bruises on Schuyler, one that looks like a handprint. He is very concerned that she is being abused. In the meantime, her boyfriend is flirting with another women while shooting daggers at Schuyler. Sebastiano gets his family involved to help uncover the truth. This is such a good story with some witty dialogue and banter with the family. Love all the group chats. This story does deal with abuse and abduction, so there might be a trigger for some. The story develops nicely with some violence, angst, trauma, a fierce protector, family, passion, love and much more.

I really enjoyed this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Sebastiano and Schuyler. There were sparks between them even from their first meeting. But Schuyler is trapped in a relationship with a boyfriend who mentally and physically abuses her, and blackmails her into staying with him by threatening to harm her younger sister- who is her only family. Schuyler is a firefighter- which I loved- and had a people who cared about her, but she still hid her bruises and dangerous situation. Sebastiano recognized the signs of possible abuse, and immediately noticed her boyfriend's disrespecting her by openly engaging another woman. I loved the Mancini family members and how kind and supportive they were of Schuyler. When the time came, they welcomed her and her sister. The threat from the boyfriend, and later the boyfriend's father added some danger and tension and excitement to the story.

I thought Diana Diaz did a great job narrating this book and bringing the story and characters to life. I usually don't care for female narrators narrating male roles because usually the men just end up sounding like a woman with a deeper voice- especially if the male is the deep-voiced alpha type- and it just doesn't work for me. But I didn't get distracted by that in this audiobook.

This is my first story by this author and I definitely want to listen to more in this series.
