In Frosthaven, Alaska, the ice doesn’t just preserve the cold—it preserves secrets.

When beloved sled dog trainer Sully Sullivan is found dead along the frozen racing trail, most of the small town assumes the brutal winter claimed another victim. But Maggie notices things others overlook—the perfectly packed gear, the uneasy silence of Sully’s sled dogs, and tracks in the snow that don’t add up.

With her enormous, sharp-eyed tabby cat Kodiak at her side, Maggie begins asking quiet questions around town. Her search leads her deep into the fiercely competitive world of dog mushing, old rivalries between racers, and a simmering land dispute someone is desperate to keep buried.

Sully didn’t simply lose a race against the elements—he learned something dangerous.

As a powerful blizzard barrels toward Frosthaven, Maggie must uncover the truth before the storm wipes away the last clues. Because in a town where the ice never forgets, someone is willing to kill to keep the truth frozen.

It was a good story idea but the main character was somewhat insufferable. Supposedly so smart but at the height of the steak out she remembers that, oh wait, she needs to get proof and fumbles for her phone and screws it up. She only accidentally gets a little circumstantial evidence. SMH. Too much bad dialogue to recount. I do not think it was well written.

Leaves room for improvement. Metaphors and similes….so so many.
