Have you ever looked at a cover of a book and just had this gut feeling it would be a story worth taking a chance on? Well that was September Doves for me! This story was rich in vulnerability, raw emotions, strength, love, and loyalty. I was in tears by the end! Our FMC, Rylee, is a beautiful young woman that shows so much growth going from low confidence to a spitfire once she decides to leave those who hold her back. What she doesn’t expect to gain is a town and found family that she will do anything for even if it means costing her everything she has ever wanted! Then there’s Colton, our MMC, Mr. Grumpy wise a*** extraordinaire! This man is a tough cookie to crack when his guard is up, but he is a man of honor and loyalty to those close to him and if you want in you will have to prove yourself! This is a slow burn between these characters, but well worth the wait because once the f**k it moment hits you won’t be disappointed!!!! Narrator, Marie Hawkins, hands down gave an Oscar winning performance! She brought the fire, grit, and emotion to do this story justice. I won’t lie there are very few narrators who I enjoy listening to as the sole narrator and that is this woman! Chef’s kiss x1000!
