Author's Note: This is a reprint of my 2010 Snowbooks title. Shade Fright was the first in what I'd hoped to be a kick butt series, but there were only two books. It's got a special place in my heart because though it might be info-dumpy at times and while there might be a few editing nits, it's still the first book I ever got published. Now that it's out of print and I have my rights back to the series, it's here, warts and all for you to enjoy, and who knows? There's probably another adventure for Valerie, Caroline and Fifty Dollar Bill waiting to be written at some point.
