Shades of Mortality is a collection of short stories exploring the quiet, unsettling moments that define what it means to be human. Through themes of life, death, memory, regret, and transcendence, these stories linger in the spaces between what is lost and what is found—inviting the listener to confront the beauty and fragility of existence. Each story features a unique illustration by one of 9 different artists and draws the listener into a mixture of profound, touching, and comic tales unlike any you've ever listened to.

Mad Mac gives a compelling performance that fits the tone really well. It feels natural and steady.

There are around 20 short pieces here, loosely tied together by time-traveling storytellers, and at just under three hours, it’s an easy listen you can finish immediately. The mix of genres keeps things fresh, moving between sci-fi, suspense, and others.
