First- this is a very dark. I like far erotic romance, but this is so much darker than I've ever listened to and that's saying a lot. It is so full of pain and you can't help feel it because the writing and narration is so great. I slowed it down just a tad and it lowered my anxiety level. My brain and heart needed to process what was happening and it was tough. I highly recommend if you're looking for a raw and gritty listen. Also note there are a lot of triggers and I mean A LOT so make sure you research before stating the book. I need to choose a romcom next to balance it out. A+ for the performance. Michelle and Jacob were perfection. It wouldn't have worked with any other actors.

Once again, we have a fantastic H.D novel. At first I was bummed to once again be seeing the same female narrator, but I honestly loved her voice for River!

This was my first audiobook, and it was such an emotional experience. More so than after reading the book back in January. The narrators were great! Jacob Morgan was scary as Ryan, creepy as Billy and an absolute hero as Mako.

I can tell when people read dark romance but have never really been through anything . This book is difficult to get through for survivors of severe abuse like myself , but it’s perfectly written and realistic . I liked it a lot more than HA but please be prepared for the triggers
