Her new partner is the one disaster she didn't see coming.

Alex Kane, Clairvoyant. Disaster Prevention and Anti-terrorism Field Agent. Burning buildings, explosions, and life-or-death stakes are all in a normal day's work. Working with a man who can see right through her? That was NOT in the job description.

Hit by visions of death, destruction, and equally terrifying flashes of a future with her new partner, the normally unshakeable Alex is rattled. Forced together despite their instant animosity and attraction, they race the clock to head off a deadly plot. If they can't put their feelings aside and work together, a high-profile, brutal massacre will take hundreds of innocent lives.

If you enjoy fast paced, fast-burn enemies-to-lovers adventure, full of romance, suspense, and magic hiding in plain sight, this book is for you.

Great start to a series- definitely want to get to know more of the characters and looking forward to seeing where the author takes this world- but is also a satisfying standalone story in and of itself.
The Talent pulls in the sense of otherness, the agency a sense of community building, and in Alex a reminder that sometimes we are our own worst critics and we need to figure out how to get out of our own way in order to find happiness.
The tone from the narrator evens out after the first couple of chapters and does a good job of dealing with a story with a lot of internal monologue.

Fast paced romance with intriguing world building

A little too sappy at times, but I really did like the story and the characters

Good story and performance

Performance was clear but had same peppy cadence and feeling no matter what was happening in the scene.
The story was predictable and I found Alex very immature in the way she avoided emotion. Possibly would have helped to have a different narrator but not sure.

Not great but not the worst.
