Shield of Sparrows is a slow-burn, high-stakes romantasy perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Rebecca Yarros—where enemies become lovers, monsters stalk a cursed realm, and a forgotten princess finds the strength to tear off her crown and become the warrior she was never meant to be.

The gods sent monsters to the five kingdoms to remind mortals they must kneel.

I've spent my life kneeling—to their will and to my father's. As a princess, my only duty is to wear the crown and obey the king.

I was never meant to rule. Never meant to fight. And I was never supposed to be the daughter who sealed an ancient treaty with her own blood.

But that changed the fateful day I stepped into my father's throne room. The day a legendary monster hunter sailed to our shores. The day a prince ruined my life.

Now I'm crossing treacherous lands beside a warrior who despises me as much as I despise him—bound to a future I didn't choose and a husband I barely know.

Everyone wants me to be something I'm not—a queen, a spy, a sacrifice.

But what if I refused the role chosen for me? What if I made my own rules? What if there's power in being underestimated?

And what if—for the first time—I reached for it?

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

I have not enjoyed a story this much in really really long time. So ready for book 2. And the voice actors are phenomenal. Excellent choices for all characters!

Oh for goodness sake! Here I am bawling my eyes out after finishing this book, incredibly thankful I waited so long to read it…because that ending! I’m just glad I only have to wait like a week before starting the next book!
I’m so glad I only have to live in this book purgatory of second books for a week because gah! Every time I thought I had figured this book out, something else would happen that would make me have to rethink everything.

I loved the found family in this book. The characters really stole my heart, while others broke it. The loyalty and the “it takes a village” mentality was really sweet.

I really love our FMC, Odessa! Maybe it’s the klutz in me that just relates to her or something, but I love her story arc. Her growth both physically and mentally just felt genuine and not instant.
I love our MMC-the man with many names and colors for his eyes, but one protective growl for our girl! It was refreshing that the training scenes were actually training (don’t get me wrong, I LOVE those other training scenes too). I love that he took the time to teach her how to stand on her own and protect herself. Do I love a great rescue scene? Yes, I do! But I also love when a character comes into their own and can defend themselves. They don’t have to be the best fighter ever, but able to find their inner strength? Especially after being tossed aside and deemed not worthy of anyone’s time or just not valuable, I’m here for that all day long!

I just really enjoyed this book and I’m really looking forward to jumping right in to book two!

Everything!
