WARNING: Side effects may include the ability to catch a killer...

FBI Agent Maggie Allen had a gift for catching serial killers.

Now, following the death of her husband and son, she can barely get out of bed.

Desperate, Maggie agrees to take part in a drug trial - a last-ditch effort to find something that might help her cope.

The drug helps.

However, it also carries several unpleasant side effects, not the least of them being an exceptional heightening of all her senses...just the kind of thing her old partner could use to help the FBI track down a prolific serial killer who is proving impossible to catch.

Not a big fan of the narrator but the story was good. Does not compare to Bad Games or Wildlife though.

Narrative okay good story.

Trying to cope, after losing her loved ones. A good mystery and plot. Have read others by author and always good. The narration was good, given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Good

Jeff Menapace is always great, however, I almost didn’t finish this book because of the narrator. When she did the characters talking she was fine. It was all of the narration in between that drove me crazy. She was OVERLY dramatic. Her voice dropped a few octaves and the way she said “I said” was annoying af. If you listen to the book you know what I mean.

I LOVE Jeff Menapace books. The narrator is a different story

I am a huge fan of Jeff Menapace and enjoy this story but the narration makes it very difficult to listen to. It sounds like they inserted her saying “I said” and “Morris said” in random places using an automated phone voice. Very distracting and annoying.

Awful narrator
