Cameron Boxer is very happy to spend his life avoiding homework, hanging out with his friends, and gaming for hours in his basement. It's not too hard for him to get away with it...until he gets so caught up in one game that he almost lets his house burn down around him.

Oops.

It's time for some serious damage control - so Cameron and his friends invent a fake school club that will make it seem like they're doing good deeds instead of slacking off. The problem? Some kids think the club is real - and Cameron is stuck being president.

Soon, Cameron is part of a mission to save a beaver named Elvis from certain extinction. Along the way, he makes some new friends - and some powerful new enemies. The guy who never cared about anything is now at the center of everything...and it's going to take all his slacker skills to win this round.

I love this book, I like the lesson it carries for kids. Which is to never see a plan halfway through. And to never do only one thing for a majority of your time like Cameron boxer. I also like how different people were reading different characters in the book. And a like each chapter was that persons point of view on something. I think Gordon Korman should make a sequel, like what happened at rule the world and who won and what happened after. Did Cameron and Melody win or did they lose? And what happened in between that.

One of Gordon Korman‘s best books written!!!!!!

Ok, so, it took me forever to listen to this, because I fall asleep really fast, but when I got all the way through, and when I got to the part where the friends of fuzzy were sabotaging the pag, omg, I was totally hating on them. This book was so well written, and I love the different voice actors, even though some of the voice actors played more than one role I think, because Pavel and chuck sound so much alike. Anyway, good job on this book! Moving on to level thirteen!

I liked what the theme was because I am kinda like cam.

I would recommend this book to 7-12 because it has some big words that younger kids might not understand I am 11 and I didn't understand some words 8)

I liked Slacker. But in comparison to Gordon Korman’s other books, it was just okay. This is why I gave It a four. I highly suggest Gordon Korman’s other book, Supergifted
