Vietnam. The American nightmare is about to get worse. Hanoi has a new man in the South. A smooth-talking radio presenter, his agenda is to persuade peasants in remote villages to mount attacks on MACV and ARVN bases in return for rich rewards when the Communists finally achieve victory.

Broadcasting from deep inside the Iron Triangle, protected by legions of Vietcong and NVA, he is sending the villagers to their deaths. Always with a photographer present to score a propaganda victory, by capturing grisly images of Saigon’s soldiers murdering innocent civilians.

Paul Farrell’s Phoenix Team has a new mission. Locate and eliminate ‘Uncle Charlie,’ AKA Cu Chi Charlie. A mission to penetrate the innermost Vietcong defenses, to reach the heart of the enemy. To make his task easier, the Phoenix controller assigns two new men to his Team. A crazed Tunnel Rat and a knife-happy Mexican, another Vietnam Vet thirsting for more blood. What could go wrong?

A full-length novel by the bestselling author of many Spec Ops books. These include the popular SEAL Team Bravo stories, Heroes of Afghanistan, Raider, Echo Six, and Devil's Guard titles.

I would love this had it not been for the AI narration. A third grader could have designed a better reader.

This is a wonderful account told from multiple viewpoints. Very personal in nature and an interesting and likely quite realistic peek into the life of soldiers and pilots and crew.

Terrific storyline but...
