Meet Gia Barone

When her girlfriend of three months unexpectedly dumps her, Gia does what she always does when life falls apart—she pulls the location card and starts over somewhere new.

This time, the map lands on Palm Springs.

Gia arrives with a plan:
No more booze.
No more cigarettes.
And definitely no more casual sex.

For once, she’s going to get her life together.

Enter Roxi Delgado

With espresso-colored eyes and legs for days, Roxi is exactly the kind of woman Gia would normally chase.

There’s just one problem.

Roxi is completely off limits.

As the two women grow closer under the desert sun, Gia finds herself facing a different kind of temptation—the kind that doesn’t come in a bottle or a pack of cigarettes.

Will a growing friendship help Gia stay on track…or send her life careening off the rails again?

Set against the sun-soaked backdrop of Palm Springs, Slightly Addictive is a slow-burn sapphic romance about second chances, recovery, and discovering that sometimes the most dangerous addiction of all is hope.

Includes a special epilogue catching up with Gia and Roxi one year later.

Perfect for readers who enjoy slow burn romance, opposites attract, and women finding love after messy beginnings.

I really enjoyed the Slightly Addictive by A.K. Rose. It is witty, fast-pace, with relatable characters, instantly engaging and fun story setup with a few surprises along the way. The fresh start in Palm Springs, the romantic tension, the promise of a little emotional messiness and a tad of mystery pulls you in quickly. AI narration was a really interesting touch. It gives the audiobook a different kind of listening experience, where I found a few blunders to be really amusing and making the audio experience stand out. Overall, this was a clever, entertaining listen for anyone who likes romance with humor, energy, and a modern twist.
