It was a fairly trimmed down story, and I feel well down. spice was nice. fight scenes had an anime feel to them and I still dig the slime rancher feel.

this is one of the best I was brought to another world books I've heard yet action laughter and sexy all rolled into a must listen

I wanted to put a review up in the hope that the editor or someone who worked on this audio book sees it (thought I doubt it).

I don't know how the editing or QA works but someone seriously dropped the ball here.

Jessica Threet, who does an AMAZING job in her voicework on this series, was, for some reason, given a sheet of paper or text that had the formatting messed up on it.
Whenever she was reading the "interface" type text, like the character sheet or interfaces---she would say "UNDEFINED" at the end of each line. This is obviously a remnant of bad formatting. the lines should have been bolded or italicized or something but the header information was messed up and it spit out "undefined" at the end of each section.

For some reason, she read it...every. single. time. it got SUUPER annoying at first, then was funny...then i was just baffled.

Why would someone read that? It's clearly an error....and for that matter, who edited this together? did no one listen to it and say...huh...that's not supposed to be in there. Did the author actually write "undefined" in there for no reason whatsoever?

it all just took me out of the book and made it way less enjoyable.

Besides that--the story was decent and like i said, Jessica Threet is great at her voice work.

This installment takes the rushed plot and relationship building and event setups from the first and kicks in the afterburner, then asks everyone to get out and push. People are considering themself his good friend after a 2 minute conversation in a waiting room. Girls literally just start appearing out of nowhere already having fallen for the guy, and he has their powers and how to use them completely mastered before he's even done pulling out. Despite continually saying hes in it for love and that not everyone who shows up needs to be in his Harem, everyone who shows up either joins or hints at joining without exception. Also the scene with him and the new gorl was just baffling. Not understanding what a date is on a conceptual level is just silly even if they don't have the same name for it, but I can let it go, but when she started acting like she's never heard of a kiss and needed him to explain it? That was just nonsense. We know kisses are a normal thing. No one else has needed that explained. If it had been with the feral gorl then sure it's dumb but I'll buy it, but he used the well adjusted and civilized one instead. They were literally both in the book, you could have just thrown that line in with the one who lives in the woods if you needed that silly scene.

The bad guys just do stuff without any lead up or logic, and just like the first book the MC can literally be surrounded by burning buildings and bodies or just have learned someone he knows died and has no reaction to it other than "gotta go finish what I was doing fast!" . Reminded me of the first book when he couldn't stop talking about the county fair as he was surrounded by his burning farm and dead Slimes. And there's barely any actual ranch building, just the occasional upgrade menu.

As before the voice acting hard carries this book. Threet injects an insane amount of passion into the dirtiest of lines and silliest of slime noises, and the male narattor manages to get through the corniest dialogue without breaking. Both very impressive. And credit where it's due, the smut scenes are very detailed and varied, and the puns and pop culture references continue to be amusing and subtle, unlike most of the genre which hits you over the head with boxes full of them constantly. Other litrpg authors could learn a thing or two from that.
