I really enjoyed this bittersweet love story, and the character development was excellent. I really got to know Holly and Jake, and I enjoyed their story of overcoming great losses so they could move on with their lives and find true love.

The only part of the story that I disliked was the decision Holly made at the very end to invite Jake to live with her, even though it was obvious that they loved each other and should get married.

I know this is the way of things today, but both of these people came from loving marriages, and they had no reason to fear the commitment implied by an engagement, and eventual marriage before they moved in together.

LOVELY STORY, IN-DEPTH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, BUT

There is nothing negative I could say about this book. Just when I thought I had figured out how things would go between the two main characters, Redland would throw in another fish. The characters were lovely and the actors made you feel what they were feeling. Well done!!!
