Loved this one! Sohut is so much different from his older brother Riv. He is definitely a cinnamon roll who is the sweetest and most obsessed with his gnora. I am excited to see how Ka’cits story goes

Two things that made this even better than the first book were (1) less time spent on slavery backstories and (2) Cleo was a kickbutt survivalist. I loved that Cleo rescued herself and lived in the alien wilds for over a year before Sahut crossed her path. I also appreciated that the conflicts were external rather than the tired internal failures to communicate or misunderstandings. Finally, I liked the addition of an animal companion for warm fuzzies. The sex and chemistry were a bit tamer than I’m used to for alien romance, but the elevated story made up for that.

Took me away from all my daily problems and transferred me into another world.
