Was offered this as an alternative to the Nick and Charlie audiobook and I really enjoyed it. So glad they got the heartstopper actress to read this. Michael is adorable and Tori's story really sings with me

I love how everything in here could and would happen in real life. And it makes it seem like you are not the only one who is going through that.

I’m a big fan of the Heartstopper Series so going back and reading Oseman’s debut album about Tori’s side of the story was something I didn’t know just how much I wanted to hear. It is a beautiful story about the struggle with depression and feeling alone in the world, while also weaving in so many other topics like teenage rebellion, LGBTQ narratives, and navigating friendship. I love just how realistic, powerful, and unflinchingly honest Oseman is with this story. It would be nice though if the Audible-listed chapters lined up with those of the physical book.

It reminded me of all the crazy thoughts one has during adolescence. So, glad Tori wasn’t alone and was able to let herself feel. It’s ok to not be ok, just get help call 988. You’re not alone. You do matter!

I love the emotional connections between the characters! Tori and Micheal’s friendship is written beautifully. The authors deep understanding of the complex feelings of depression and negative self talk truly feel realistic. I wish this was a book I could’ve read sooner especially in my teen years.
