𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧 is the absolutely irresistible spin-off of the 𝘐𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘋𝘶𝘦𝘵 by Melanie Moreland, and it was everything I didn’t know I needed and more!! Sullivan Black was the epitome of the yummy Irish morally gray hero that any woman would love to be trapped with in a remote Scottish cottage during a snowstorm! I know I would volunteer as tribute!😍😅 But man, when he saw Autumn, that insta-spark was on warp-speed!! It didn’t matter that she was scared a few minutes ago, he sent her into sensory overload, too! That’s what I love about fiction… I just suspend reality and enjoy the ride, and what a ride this was! He brought his alpha protective vibes, they had passion, engaging dialogue, just such a surprising connection. And yes, she’s Canadian, so we had a window to re-introduce his cousins Finn and Niall, as well as their fabulous wives!! So when the danger, drama, and suspense hit, the family pulled together in the most riveting ways, while keeping the banter going! If you enjoy audiobooks, I would happily shout from the rooftops to urge people to try the audio version of this book, narrated by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙡𝙮. Melanie Moreland uses them often, but I’m telling you, when it comes to slipping in and out of a lyrical accent, there is no one better than John Lane!! You can even tell the difference between Finn, Niall, and Sully, based on how much Canadian he adds in!! Maxine is fabulous at it as well! They are one of my favorite pairings to listen to!! They embodied it all… the emotions, the suspense, the passion, and the banter! I didn’t want it to end!! Bravo!!

Their chemistry was electric, their connection instant, his protection always there. An unexpected snow storm brings them together, two people who hoped to escape and reset, but found their vacation fling to be forever instead. The characters, Sully and Autumn, really shone here—loved that they were older, that they were opposites yet both were confident in their own ways, that they didn’t give up on their relationship despite the long distance, loved the raw emotions and their refreshing, open conversations. Most of all, I loved, loved, loved Sully’s protectiveness! This was a quick, passionate and emotional romance.
The audiobook was exceptional. The dual narration from Maxine Mitchell and John Lane, with their respective Canadian and Irish accents, really created an immersive experience.

I was so excited when this book was announced because I was ready to be in the Irishmen’s world. “Sullivan” is a swoony, action packed, and heartfelt forced proximity, opposites attract romance which was such a great book to get lost in.

Sullivan Black is an Irishman in Edinburgh working nonstop and is in desperate need of a break. Deciding it’s time, he packs a bag for his cottage in the Highlands for peace and quiet in the small village. And he’s more than surprised to find a woman staying there. Autumn is working temporarily in Edinburgh and she works with Sullivan’s cousin who suggested she use the cottage to get away. Both are shocked to see each other but make do because of a storm rolling in. The connection between them is instant and both give into their feelings. Once they leave the cottage, Autumn and Sullivan start a relationship even though Autumn has someone from her past that is still looking for her.

I loved the first two books and I’m happy to be back in this world. Autumn is someone who I connected with from the beginning. She’s genuine, smart and wants to have a life worth living. She’s close with her Aunt in Canada so coming to Edinburgh was a big leap for her. Sullivan has all the Irish swagger and he’s just perfect for Autumn. He was part of the life that Finn and Niall were a part of. But he works hard as a lawyer now and is just as smitten with Autumn when they meet. I loved their chance meeting at the cottage and how they felt the spark almost immediately. Their chemistry was intense and they were great together. I loved how independent Autumn was and how Sullivan didn’t try to squash that down. The added intensity of the man back in Canada who was still thinking of Autumn had me listening nonstop to see how that would fold out. Once he became a threat again, Sullivan used everything he had at his dispose to find and protect her. I loved the ending. It was so sweet and perfect for them.

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell narrated this audio and they did an amazing job bringing this story to life. John’s Irish accent was amazing and I loved listening to him bring the protective and caring Sullivan to life. Maxine was perfection, per the norm. She brought the genuine and sweet Autumn alive wonderfully.

Swoony, action packed and heartfelt

I absolutely loved how these characters didn’t waste any time. They were mature and let their heart lead without getting too lost in their head. But there were moments. I expected that little bit of drama because what relationship doesn’t come with it? It didn’t put me off, if anything it made this story realistic. I was so enamoured with the mmc, he was so swoony. I was anticipating the release of the audio just so I could hear John Lane bring this character to life. And boy did he ever. He did so with so much depth transporting me into the story. And Maxine Mitchell as the fmc… Yes! She really brought all the emotions. She had me connecting to the character. I seriously wanted to knock some sense into her like I would any friend.

Overall, being able to read a copy of the ebook then listening to the audiobook was a great experience. It was a story that I wish i could experience for the first time all over again and I got to do that with the audiobook. I was engrossed with the story, and I was absolutely captivated by the narrators performance of it.

Great listening experience

Autumn & Sully’s chemistry was electric from the start, and it slowly simmered into something really beautiful by the end. Full of love, passion, devotion, and forgiveness. This is what all romances should be; sweet, swoony, heartbreaking, beautiful, and all consuming. It is emotional and filled with moments that remind us that love finds us on its own time line and fate definitely has a hand in it. Forgotten is cleverly plotted and builds to an intense crescendo in the final chapters. This book will grab ahold of your heart early and won't let go.
Maxine Mitchell & John Lane really gave us the characters Una & Finn to perfection. Both are remarkable bringing the characters to life. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. They are entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you enthralled from beginning to end.
