With only his crewmates' dead bodies for company and his memories slowly retuning, he must piece together what has happened and complete his interstellar mission to save humanity.

Weir does an excellent job of explaining everything in a way that includes a thorough explanation of the science behind it while remaining very accessible and narratively interesting. In that regard, this book is outstanding.
