The sparks have been flying between Leni and Holden since he gave her his hoodie to wear following the burning of her yoga studio. He was in protector mode from that moment on. He's fine with no-strings relationships, but anything deeper than that is off limits. He refuses to live through the pain of heartbreak after his former fiancee decimated his heart. But as much as he wants to keep Leni at arm's length, Holden can't resist the pull he feels toward her. Vanessa Edwin and Gregory Salinas did an excellent job bringing these characters to life. They evoked emotion and passion which kept me listening from beginning to end.

When Holden checks up on Leni, he helps her with a temporary yoga studio location at his brother’s gym. Holden is holding on to past pain from a former engagement that left him devastated.
After the decimation of his heart by his former fiancée, Holden only has surface relationships since he refuses to surrender his love to another woman. Leni offers a no-string-attached relationship to Holden, who initially refuses but changes his mind. This decision places Holden and Leni on a path to passion, friendship, love, pain, and rejection, becoming one hot mess of a romance. But what a romance! Such a perfect name for Holden and Leni’s book!
Gregory Salinas and Vanessa Edwin narrates for us and gives us an inside voice of both Leni and Holden!
Leni falls hard and fast for Holden but Holden can’t find himself to be so open for love at least not at first!
I loved seeing Leni worm her way into Holden’s heart to the point that there was nothing he could do but surrender it to her!

One of the best series out! Next up is Tyson and watching him fall in love!

Leni and Holden were the slow burn that burst into flames that I needed in my life. No matter how hard Holden tried to pull away once those flames sparked, he knew Leni had a pull on him like no other. Having felt rejected most of her life doesn't stop Leni from going after what she wants, and she wants Holden something fierce. Try as he may, Holden can't seem to stay away. When he set his mind on putting distance between them he had no idea that distance would almost cost Leni her life. Ever the knight in shining armor, Holden rescues his love with seconds to spare and finally has to admit she has his heart and there is no going back. A.K. Evans has done it again with another amazing installment to the Cunningham Security Series!
