Any additional comments?

I never thought I could learn a language and I'm well beyond the age to begin (62). There are times I think -- I will never be able to pronounce this! -- and then it comes ... with practice and the infinite patience of the program. The grammar here frustrated me but the words and scenarios are useful. If you want to master the language, this needs to be supplemented with a grammar text. But it makes learning so much easier when it is heard in context.

Frustrating -- but worth it!

it was a bit awkward where you practice a conversation harassing a young lady to have a drink with you but that's about it

Good leaning

effective. conversations are a little boring but you WILL learn simple words and sentences. i get frustrated with ones that just demonstrate some phrases and then moves on. this one takes you through the repetition you need and the back and forth with another speaker.

it's working

Written with a Kenyan dialect. I absolutely love Pimsleur. The teaching method builds with each lesson and sticks with you.

Excellent for learning

That Swahili taught on this program is Kenyon Swahili, which is not the same as traditional grammatically, correct Swahili, which originated on Zanzibar. I do not recommend this for anyone. And Pimsleur should throw it out and redo the entire thing. Many things in this course are incorrect.

Not Proper Swahili
