Things have reached a critical point in the Middle East. I like this series of books - I really do. However, it seems that they don't get edited, or the editor is very bad at their job. This author is fond of repeating phrases - her eyes widened, his eyes widened, my eyes widened. It's maddening how often eyes are widening in this book. Surely someone should be noting this silly repetitiveness and making changes - but nooooo. Every book eyes are constantly widening!

In the first chapter, she used the phrase "the side eye." That got repeated many more times in the same chapter.

The stories are cute, if not a bit ridiculous, and for the most part I enjoy listening. The narrator is good and most of the characters are likeable and enjoyable.

Excellent story and just when it gets serious, something silly happens to make you laugh out loud. Lots of twists. Loved the insight into the military mission and how the rescue went down. Hopefully, there will be a follow-up to this SOOOOOON.
