Things are really starting to get intense. Amel is determined to find her friend at any cost. This episode is non stop action, and just when things seem to be going right, everything changes. Just like the others, this was a good book.

Action packed

This book had a strong sense of Game of Thrones to me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Some of the secondary characters have kind of dropped off the map, which makes me wonder if they’ll be coming back, or if they were just passing through. Noone major is missing though, so it’s not a big loss. A lot of chess pieces are moving around which makes me wonder about the long-game. Which details are essential and which are just a part of the setting? It adds to the mystery and intrigue to keep you reading. Only downside is that this series would greatly benefit from a new narrator. Her differentiation between voices is minimal making it hard to track while listening to.

Ha! So as is the case with episode length stories I wish they were longer. Buuut it's also kind of fun to listen in these short bursts. Being a busy mom (and while I'm stuck in quarantine I still have a ton I need to do) so having a couple hours of quiet is about all I have at once.

Again with the world building. Love it, so much happens. I do kind of feel like the main female character is still kind of just sitting on the side lines not contributing much to the story arc and as she said, "being a pawn". Now, that being said, I feel like there was a ton of foreshadowing in this one and can not freaking wait to see her step the F up and be fierce and kick butt :)

Wishing each installment was longer

Another amazing book in this series..... I was kinda thinking as it went along that, okay, this was a chance to catch our breath.... more of an information dump, but what information!!! And then suddenly, the book exploded (literally) into action, and it was off to the races again..., and dragging us along with it. How can one series contain SO MUCH action? Cannot wait to listen to the next one.....

Wow...

This book picks up where the last book left off. Amel finds out the kidnapping is arranged as well as finding out that there is a conspiracy going on. The books continue to get more and more exciting even though they are short. Definitely action packed and definitely worth the wait.
