A standalone paranormal romance - complete story, no cliffhangers.
Adalyn thought she'd found her forever love in high school... until Bryson vanished without a word, leaving her heart shattered and her trust destroyed.
Years later, she's rebuilding her life in college when he reappears, more gorgeous and mysterious than ever. But Bryson's harboring secrets that go far beyond a simple explanation. He's the alpha of a werewolf pack, and Adalyn? She's half-wolf herself, though she never knew it.
Now Bryson wants her back, claiming they're destined mates. But Adalyn isn't the same trusting girl he left behind. She'll need answers, the whole truth, and proof that this time he won't disappear when things get complicated.
Can their love survive the secrets that tore them apart? And is Adalyn ready to embrace a world where shapeshifters are real... and she's meant to be their alpha's mate?
A complete second-chance romance featuring werewolf shifters, fated mates, and steamy scenes.

The FMC, Adylan, has clearly been through a lot, and you can feel that weight from the very beginning. When she’s taken in by the pack, it isn’t easy or instant ~ there’s hesitation, mistrust, and emotional tension that makes the story feel more realistic instead of rushed. Watching her slowly let her guard down and begin to feel safe again was one of the strongest parts of the story for me.
The MLC, Bryson, stood out immediately. He’s protective, patient, and clearly feels the pull toward Adylan even when she’s struggling to trust anyone. I liked that he didn’t push or rush her — their connection builds over time, which made it feel more meaningful. The pack dynamics overall were well done, and I appreciated that each member had a presence instead of blending into the background.
Reading on Kindle, the story flowed really well. The chapters kept me engaged, and I definitely found myself saying “just one more chapter.” There’s a good balance of emotional moments, pack interaction, and steamy scenes that kept the pacing moving without dragging.
Listening on Audible added another layer to the story. The narration brought out the emotions, especially Adylan’s vulnerability and the tension within the pack. Switching between reading and listening made it even easier to stay immersed, which honestly helps keep me sane when I’m not teaching.
Overall, this book delivered exactly what I look for in a paranormal pack romance ~ strong characters, emotional growth, and that sense of belonging that makes these stories so satisfying.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.
