A secret betrayal. A burning vengeance. A mother’s sin.

You haven’t seen drama until three generations of women with secrets, betrayals, and vengeance converge one summer in rural Georgia.

Famous country singer, forty-one-year-old Marnie Fraser, is living a life most people can only dream about. But while on tour to release her new album she receives devastating news that will take her far from the life she once knew.
Leaving her hard sought after career, the man she secretly loves, and her estranged daughter behind, Marnie disappears to a charming cottage outside Savannah, Georgia. An enigmatic location alive with memories of a lost love, and air so hot and humid you need a pair of gills to breathe.

And a voracious media will pay good money to find out where she ran off to and why.

I’m not a big fan of virtual reading. It was hard to tell which character was speaking because there was no change in the voice of the narrator.

I enjoyed the storyline and the plot.

The conflict between generations is one most can relate to. And Dixon's sure fire plot development rings true. She must have been through, or known others who have experienced the problems she writes about. The insecurity of Marnie is a easy to connect to. This was a great book to listen to. Descriptions were brief but provided the needed settings.

Was interested to the narrator's "Virtual Voice " - not bad except for the few words that didn't come out right "latte" and "filet mignon".

A great read - the author knows whereof she writes
