I sat down on the living room sofa and took a bite of some homemade pie. I had gathered the sweet and tart blackberries last summer and was now enjoying a pie that only cost a dollar to make.

Then I remembered to say prayer of thanksgiving and bowed my head. I often remember to say a brief prayer before and after three meals and two snacks a day. Someone might ask, "Why all the prayer?" I pray a minimum of 10 times a day because it is the right thing to do, and it does incredibly good things to me. I pray at other times and other ways; however, prayers of thanksgiving seem to be among the most powerful, for effective and happy living. Here is my story.
