I enjoyed the story being told. I love when characters are developed so it was nice having that background. The chapters were off, so if you're OCD, I would suggest reading the book yourself or following along with the book. I relied solely on the audible version and if I hadn't listened at 1.5 speed, I may have not finished it.

I can appreciate a narrator that can use different voices for multiple characters. It did sound to me like they were chewing gum while recording and that was kind of annoying.

I read this in between thriller/suspense and it gave me what I needed to break that pattern.

I love a tortured soul love connection!!! This book was such a nice mix of two people from “different sides of the tracks.” I finished pretty quickly and I really loved it.

I didn’t like the ending, too obvious. However I did enjoy the story, often times as women we put ourselves last, and you can see how the main character was starting to do that, and you can see how she was becoming engulfed in a sense in the relationship, and I was able to identify with that character because I too have been there. I can relate to slacking off and putting my goals/ambitions on pause because I’m in this new romance. The saying is “ give a man sex , food, and entertainment and his ambitions die” but that saying applies to everyone being comfortable can be a disservice to one’s goals.
Overall I love this author, l will read/listen to anything she produces.
