It is not as cutesy as the synopsis implies. Book includes rape and punishment/control.

Overall, the story was a good lesson. It seemed like some storylines could’ve been a little stronger, the voices could’ve been human, but it was an enjoyable story.

Even in the last few paragraphs of the book, the man is still acting as if women are stupid. The woman was a lawyer. There is no moment of understanding that she is equally as intelligent as he is in this book. Do not look for that here. Performance will always get a one star because I can’t hurt a computer‘s feelings.

The thought that women have limited intelligence isn’t sexy.

This story is awful. Not a romance at all. It's just this woman being raped and abused and ends up having some sort of Stockholm syndrome. The character development was nonexistent. and the king has no redeemable qualities beyond being a sadistic butthole. I would not recommend this book and that 4 star rating must be fake because this book is absolutely terrible!!!
