It was like a middle schooler on wattpad. Plot wasn’t good characters weren’t good… it just was not impressive. I’m all for cozy fantasy but this was like reading one of my student’s essays.

Read this in anticipation for the Baby Dragon Baker which I received an arc for. Really enjoyed the first 90% of the book, I listened to this on audiobook and it was dual narrated; both VAs were really great and really enhanced the coziness of the vibes. The world was simple and fun, the yearning was great, the couple was very cute but something about the ending just nagged at me. It was like the book had wrapped itself up really well and then the last three chapters were tacked on real quick and it just made it seem rushed and unnecessary when the book had already had a good ending.

Also; side note; the synopsis claims this book is spicy but it’s not. They yearned for each other a lot but saying “heat pooled in her stomach” a bunch throughout the book doesn’t make it spicy. They only got together once and it was a paragraph long; essentially closed door. Which; is fine, I don’t need spice but it felt like false advertising to call this book spicy when it really wasn’t at all.

Fun popcorn read that fumbled a bit at the finish line but I will happily be diving into book two to see Lavinia’s(sp?) romance!

This was a sweet story, but I think I would’ve enjoyed it more reading the physical book. I found myself having to push through the last four hours because of the narration. The narrator’s voices weren’t monotone, but they did not change the tone for different characters.

This book was so much fun. I loved the destined fates for the couple and for each character individually. I loved that their past didn’t prevent them from having a future and that love did indeed conquer all their insecurities and doubts. I just loved this story. The narrators were perfect for their roles to the point that even the pacing of their speech fit the character’s personality. So well done!

This was delightful! Characters change ad grow which is nice. The people in the story are interesting and love the differences that mean the main characters three dimensional. The baby dragons are fantastic! Will definitely get the following books as they come out.
