Nyla and her sister Mandy are close! Mandy gave Nyla bone marrow when Nyla needed it. They can read each other like books and have a close family.

Leo and Mandy are 6 years post-divorce and Mandy and Nyla parents are trying to get them back together since they have a 12-year-old son (Seth) and Leo is a good man HOWEVER, the ex couple got together as teens and grew apart.

2 years post-divorce, Leo learns Seth is not his biological son and while on meds, he confesses it to his ex-sis-in-law (Nyla).

...everyone seems great (yes, her bestie/sis cheated on her bro in law 12 years ago and never told Nyla...or Leo) but they're all close. I kept waiting for a reason to dislike someone and root for another.

The romance is between Nyla and Leo. I can't help but thinking about Seth and his confusion and the grandparents who want Mandy and Leo back together. And then her big sis Mandy and Nyla are close. Maybe because I'm close to my sister...and girl code, etc. but it wasn't my cup of tea. If this is your jam...go for it.

Also, I'm not a fan of third-person POV. Coming from a library that's 99% first-person POV...this was tough to follow.
