it was awesome and I had never heard any of these stories before. I like when the characters from other story series lend context.

Very creative and loved them all. I happen to like happy endings, life’s tough enough the way it is.

This whole collection was really really good. Loved them all.

I haven’t listen to a book from Lauren Blakely for a while after listening to many many many from her and kind of getting numb to them. At some point they are all kind of the same, some better some less.
Book 1: 5 stars
This one though..it was soo good! It gave me all the feels. I even laughed out loud several times.
What I don’t understand is the collection.. at the end of the book is was hinting very strongly to the next relationship but that relationship isn’t even in this series. I did love the integration of ADHD and the struggles that come with it and what it means if you have a supportive network. Also loved the added part at the end where it was explained how Lauren approached this subject. Really liked that part.

Also, where can I find my own Carter? Asking for a friend…

Book 2: 3 stars
Ok first, I can not stand that the books are not in chronological order. Like, the story from the second book actually happend before the first one… WHY!?
I deducted a star from the story stars cause this book was.. not bad but so much worse than the first. It was pretty boring. It took me a long time to even get into it and I almost jumped over to the next one.. it seemed more like a filler than an actual stand alone book.
Book 3: 2 stars
Nope. Didn’t like the story. Maybe someone is super into that kind of relationship but for me, with him being much older and and always in a role of authority or super dominant role, screamed for me daddy issues for her and no idea why he needed that. Especially when he called her little girl or something like that, I was just so turned off.
And the ending saying he fulfills her needs… every night. Was such a weird ending that was just not needed.
Oh and this story also plays before the first book, mentions characters from other books (not in this series) but plays after the second book.
Book 4: 5 stars
This book was so so much better than the 2 previous ones. Cooper and Violet made a great couple and such a sweet love story. In my opinion it is a bit less spicy than most of the Lauren Blakeley books I’ve listened to, incase that’s what you are hoping for. But I still liked it. The last chapter (I believe it’s chapter 37) was so absolutely unnecessary though. My one wish for this book would have been to have a more balanced narration and not mostly male narration (didn’t mind it, don’t get me wrong :) ), but more of the female narration and view would have been nice and not just every now and then and all the moans inbetween.
Book 5: 2 stars
This one was probably the worst of the collection.
First the narration. Both narrators sounded fine reading their inner monologue but their speaking voices and especially the voice they used for each other’s characters… nope. The male narrator sounds so douchy in the beginning, but it does get a bit better. I had such a hard time getting into this book and only did somewhere in the middle. It’s fairly boring and it seems so much more immature than the other ones. There is so much less tension building (which for me is one of the best parts) and mostly just jumping straight to intercourse…
This book plays after the one before. But I think both play before the first book of this series.
Book 6: 5 stars
I’m not sure which one I liked more, the first one or that one, and I reeeally liked the first one. It was funny, jaw dropping (and I thought my mom was a crappy mom…), had sexy tension, obstacles and sometimes cheesy love. I can definitely recommend listening to this one.
So after listing to all of them, I feel like half of them you can skip if you don’t want to listen to mediocre books. And in my opinion they are not really needed for the storyline of the others. The 3 others.. Enjoy! ;)
