Using an old cannon that once belonged to Napoleon's army, an outlaw gang has been bringing trains to a halt and then robbing them. Now Edward Sheffield - one of the owners of the railroad - wants to hire Conrad Morgan, known as The Loner, to wipe the gang off the map. This is another good book about kid Morgan. Kid Morgan has become one of my favorite series. I have liked all the books in this series. It seems to get better with each book. This book holds your attention and is easy to get caught up in. In this book he is after Gideon Black a ruthless outlaw. Gideon has a cannon and a lot of guys working for him. He's after (Edward) a guy he's jealous over. There is a lot of gun play in this book. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators. (Dramatized).
