Leave the rat race behind. Join our commune. Don't worry, it will be fine…
Luke Bridestone flees London for a fresh start in a remote, off-grid commune. Nine days later, he is found in a coma. His fellow commune members lie dead in the forest.
Was it the work of a brutal intruder or something darker lurking within?
To find out, we need to go back to the beginning: a rainy day in July, a clearing in the forest, thatched cabins and woodsmoke – and the ominous signs of the dangers to come.

I don't know if everyone reads the front and back matter of books, but you really should. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a fellow reader. You can learn a lot about books and their authors from them. In this one, you learn of some special connections between the characters and some of the author's loved ones. I completely understand Mr. Dagan's desire to preserve his loved on within the pages of his books - but I'll let you find out what I mean on your own. It will absolutely make it more special and meaningful. But, as a fellow writer, I loved hearing about it and it made me love a character I already adored that much more!
Cult books hold a special, mystical place in our hearts. We are so fascinated by them. And, rightfully so, because they are always so thrilling. They're having a bit of a heyday at the minute, and this one holds up to the hype. It's an absolutely cracking read, and I highly recommend it. You will not expect the way the story unfolds, and you will be surprised until the lst moment. You'll probably shed a tear or two, so keep the tissues handy. Either way, you will definitely be shook at the absolute stunning exploration of human nature and scratching your head wondering if ths was based on a real story or simply a fiction.
The characters all jump off the page, unique but filled with their own secrets. Some we find out and some we don't. In the end, you'll have to use your own judgement to decide what's really going on at this commune.
I listened to the audiobook version. It took me a little while to get used to the narrator, but eventually we got into a good rhythm.
Great Storyline!
