This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
A race of half biological beings, half with technological implants, terrifies an entire galaxy. As a kind of cyborg, the Borg, as they call themselves, are interconnected with each other, forming a large network. Their thoughts, knowledge, experiences, are shared in their great collective, losing all individuality to serve a single being that dominates and gives them order, Queen Borg. His method of acquiring new knowledge is not based on new discoveries, but on the conquest of new worlds. To do this, it converts other species into drones that re-feed the entire Borg collective with all their culture. This novel, gives an unofficial version, about how was the origin of this dreaded race. Those who are fans of the Star Trek saga and are fascinated by these cyber beings, I advise you to read this book. Resisting is futile Science Fiction Robotics

Fantastic tale giving a plausible origin story for the B.O.R.G.
However, the automated narration was horrible. It reads all the punctuation! Reading all the punctuation completely wrecks the flow of the story. This mess should not even be offered on Audible.

Great story! Narration was awful.

The story had a chance to be an interesting exploration of the Borg origins; but the AI reading was terrible. It mispronounced words like unimatirx and unimatrixes when they changed plurality or tense. It always said underscore to read a new line, and it pronounced punctuation a human would have simply used for emphasis. All terrible experiences!

I have listened to numerous AI generated audiobooks and I can confidently say that this was read by a word reader akin to what is on past Windows or Mac pcs. Literally every word punctuation and dash is read out loud. Additionally no attempt to create intonation of words was made. This audio production should be removed from the catalogue and reworked afresh for the sake of Audible’s and the Author’s brand equity.

Disappointed - Remove this book from the catalog

the A.I. reader was terrible as it read every punctuation and underscore mark. A good story, but hard to listen to.

the A.I. reader makes this fascinating take on the origins of the Borg unlistenable.

I am sorry, but this title was unbearable to listen to. Not only was the story itself week, but this, what I assume to be bottom price AI voice, was actually reading out loud formating commands like "Underscore " and "upside down question mark" whenever such formatting was encountered.

terrible AI voice, which reads out formatting commands
