I loved the characters, the words were beautiful and the names were so fun. I feel like I will be saying them in mind until the next book. Can’t wait!

Whimsical as heck. Unbelievably fanciful. Ridiculously creative. This lit fic was a dozy dose of dreamy and delightful wrapped up in tear-jerking life lessons and over-the-top shenanigans! I so enjoyed this quick read and the narrator Shannon Tyo made it such an enjoyable experience. If you ever feel like reading about what fun happens when you fall asleep, this is your book!

This book had me laughing and crying by the end of it. It was an easy read, yet descriptive enough for me to fully immerse myself into this fantastical dream world. I’m invested in all its characters, and I can’t wait to read the next installation.

Mostly I enjoyed this book. I believe that Miye Lee has the imagination to write exceptional books. This book had the potential to be so much more than it was. The idea was conceptually brilliant but there were moments that never took off for me. Some of the actual dreams confused the narrative because it was hard to keep the characters straight in audio format given they were referred to as 'the man' or 'the woman'. I am not sure if the subtleties of the employee's characters was lost in translation but to me they seemed flat and one dimensional, especially Dallegut.
