USA Today bestseller Lenora Bell returns to her Wallflowers vs. Rogues series with a romance between a lady and the scoundrel claiming to be next-in-line for her father’s title.

Lady Henrietta Prince is far too busy for romance. She's dedicated her life to turning her family vineyards into a profitable sparkling wine venture. But when she shares a thrilling kiss at midnight with a handsome stranger, she's captivated...until he claims to be the distant heir to her father's dukedom.

Ash Ellis is a gambler who lives life on the edge. Now he's locked his sights on a glittering prize and nothing will stand in his way.

When Henrietta is forced to marry the wicked rogue to keep her beloved vineyards, she vows that Ash will never have her trust, or her love. Even if his kisses are more intoxicating than the finest champagne.

His new bride is certainly beautiful, but biddable? Not so much. Ash will settle for nothing less than Henrietta's total surrender...but is he the one in danger of losing his heart?

Ash was just the way I like my regency men: dark, dangerous and delicious, yet honorable and hiding a heart of gold. He was a street tough, but even when clashing with Henrietta, he treated her with respect.

Henrietta was every inch the spitfire that Ash dubbed her to be. I loved the way she took the bull by the, er, horns (😜) and called him out on his stubborn insistence that he was a bad man unworthy of love.

Compared to book 1, I thought the treatment of child labor issues was better mixed in with the story.
The chemistry and handful of sex scenes were sinfully good. I could have used a bit more humor and involvement of the other couples in this series. Overall, however, this delivered a swoon worthy romance with top notch narration.

Pretty good. More sex scenes than I was expecting but they are generally well-written...although at times I do tire of listening to oral sex scenes at a time when people used chamber pots to relieve themselves and rarely bathed. I seriously doubt much oral sex was happening back then. Some parts of the story were a bit far-fetched and I don't know if it was the way the narrator read the female character or if she just really was that annoying, but at times she sounded so pathetically pouty. The narration wasn't terrible just wasn't my favorite. I would listen to other books by this author.

This book was so cute! Just the right amount of intrigue and romance with some added steamy scenes. This is the first book in this series I have read, and I definitely will be reading the others as this book was so good. Ash and Henrietta have great chemistry, and I love the "will they won't they" trope. It is so well done in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cant wait to read more in the series.

Loved it!
