By drawing on his decades of experience working with small-business owners, Michael Gerber is adding to his mega-selling E-Myth series with The E-Myth Accountant. This installment provides a one-of-a-kind system for transforming an accountant’s practice into a business positioned for long-term growth.

This is the next installment in the series of E-Myth handbooks developed specifically for key industries. As with previous titles, The E-Myth Accountant has distilled small-business advice that specifically caters to this business segment. Although business owners know everything about their trade, very few know how to effectively run a business—the void that Michael Gerber can fill with his powerful advice. In Gerber’s signature easy-to-understand, easy-to-implement style, he addresses such specific aspects of the business as money, people, management, and growth.

This is the second E-Myth I have listed to over the last 7 years. I listened to E-Myth Revisited probably 5 times and after reading (listening) to this one, I will indulge again.

michael gerber narration is amazing but the same can't be said for Darren Root. he maybe the best accountant or business leader but his narration is terrible. if you are an accountant that wish to have your own practice, that is fine but if you already have one for some years you will find much better books

very shallow book

I am an avid follower of both Michael Gerber and Darren Root because I respect both of them and I've learned a lot from them in business and accounting, respectively. I listen to audio books on a daily basis, But this is one of the worst recording paces and vocal pitch levels I've experienced. After 1.5x speed, it's a jumbled, mumbled mess. Gerber is bearable at 2x sometimes, but Darren is very hard to listen to at any speed. It's not a natural feeling slow or fast. I find myself adjusting my EQ and speed often just to get through it and understand them.

Not professional quality audio. Not audible book friendly

The CPA’s guide to being a CPA should be the title of this book!

This should be required reading for all accountants.

M. E. Gerber improves on the concepts of the E-Myth in regards to the accounting industry by dropping practical truths and forcing all of us in practice to takes a good look in the mirror and take responsibility for the inefficiencies in your practice.

M. D. Root adds the perspective that only a CPA who's struggled to build a profitable practice can. His performance is what you would expect from an Account [insert joke here]. However, the actions you are asked to perform in the book to apply the principles more than make up for it.
