Over the years I have gone back to Elder Skousen's explanation of the Old Testament and every time it has brought a deeper understanding and clarity that has brought me closer to My Savior! For me that is what I desire most is to KNOW JESUS and The First 2,000 Years does that beautifully!

This well written and fascinating account of the first 2000 years of the story of mankind represents a massive amount of research and the difficult task of creating meaning from snippets from many different scriptures and documented sources. Wonderfully organized and presented.
