It all started with that night.

The night I made my biggest mistake.

The night I entered their world.

The day I snuck into the infamous Devil’s Ring Fight Club. I had followed my cousin Amelia, who turned out not to be quite as innocent as I first believed. In fact, it turned out she didn’t live in the same world as I did…Not at all.

I knew this the moment I entered his kingdom. My world changed the moment he found me. He gave me a warning that night. He told me if he ever found me again then next time, he wouldn’t be so quick in letting me escape him. His little Red Riding Hood. It was a threat I took seriously as it was only my dreams that took me back to that place. That took me back to him.

That was until they came for me. The Hell Hounds that infiltrated my peaceful world and started the hunt. And there was only one man I knew that had the power to stop them. And my price to pay, was the promise he made me.

That if he ever found me in his demonic fight club again…He was keeping me.

Meaning I only had two choices left, to become the hunted or to make a deal with Hell’s greatest Hunter…

The HellBeast King…

Jared Cerberus.

Suspenseful story but left a lot of loopholes and loose ends. I know this is a series but very little is wrapped up at the end. Like who was the friend? Why were the bad guys really after her? Why all the lies and separation?

As others mentioned the narrator sometimes has an American accent and then on random words a bad fake accent. It honestly doesn’t add anything to the story and was just distracting. It would have been better to skip the accent changes.

The romance doesn’t progress much beyond a few hours of interaction with each other (mere minutes for us).

It was a decent first book but I’m not likely to continue the series. There are tons of books in this series which gets expensive without a bundle option. Especially since the books aren’t stand alone and have cliffhangers.

Suspenseful action

I read this story prior to audible coming out and really enjoyed it. The narration is okay, but I can't figure out if she's Irish trying to do an American accent or American trying to do an Irish or British accent. It's really bizarre and she waffles back and forth saying one word that sounds American and another word that sounds British and then another word that sounds Irish. It's really odd and distracting. I will probably listen to the second and third book as it was okay enough to continue listening. It's just a little weird and I wish she would figure that out before doing the next in the series.

As far as the story goes, it's not my favorite of Stephanie Hudson's. I prefer the Transfusion series overall, but one is okay. I am interested in it enough to continue with the rest of the books when they come out. Ella, the Fernando lead, is a little irritating at times. I understand why she is due to her circumstances, but it sometimes seems like she is creating more of the issues then helping.

good story, okay narration

I can’t stand Ella; her character is too ignorant and it’s hard to muster up any sympathy for her. The narrator’s mispronouncing of words was a bit much; I thought she took lessons from the old “Martin” TV show. I’ve already purchased two additional books in series and may ask for return of credits.

Really?

It’s got everything a great book needs! Twists, romance, fighting… the reading was smooth and the characters are well written. I can’t wait to start the next book!

Omg so fking HOT!

Good back story of Ella for the past decade I guess and some details on her past experiences but not enough happens in the present.

Too short in my opinion
