Barbara was 12 when she was admitted to the psychiatric hospital Aston Hall in 1971. From a troubled home, she'd hoped she would find sanctuary there. But during her stay, Barbara was systematically drugged and abused by its head physician, Dr Kenneth Milner.

Somehow, eventually, she started to campaign for answers. This is a shocking account of how vulnerable children were preyed upon by the doctor entrusted with their care.

I can't imagine all the atrocities the author endured as a child. Great narration. Sad story but kept the listener engaged.

Horrific childhood. Almost too bad to believe.

This book was well written, and the things the author endured were very brutal. The narrator comes off a little annoying at first but after a little while I understand why she was chosen to narrate the book. Her child like voice brought the character to life. Loved this book.

Fantastically Horrible
