Great first book in series. I like the slayer past life and hiding his strength from his family. OP MC with big ego and interesting side stories (quests?) Seems like there are unresolved plots but lots of action in between the plots. Introduction of Carmel and snoop are nice support characters

Not much to say overall, it was a good book. It was a good start to series, and the writing was quite good. I do find the ending a bit of a letdown. I kind of dislike stories that feel they have to end on a cliffhanger in order to draw you into the next book .
